Gautier Lands Lead Role in Dramatic Film
Birthday wishes can come true.
Actress Lana Gautier has been tabbed to play Ellie in the upcoming film “The Birthday Card.” Gautier was selected from among several dozen talented actresses who auditioned for the role.
“It’s an honor and I’m truly excited to have been given this opportunity,” Gautier said shortly after confirming that she had been given the part. “The pressure is on me now to excel and to live up to the expectations.”
The film’s director, Anvar Madraimov, is confident in the abilities of his lead actress.
“I am happy that I met such a great person and an actress like you,” Madraimov said in an e-mail offering Gautier the role. “I am giving you the Ellie role without any doubt.”
Production is already underway on the project, with filming scheduled to begin early May of 2016.
