Gautier & Co. Premiere to Rave Reviews

They say if you reveal your birthday wish, it won’t come true. If that’s the case, the cast and crew of “The Birthday Card” must’ve shrouded their wishes in secret and kept them under lock and key.
The film premiered last night at the Stephen J. Ross theater on the Warner Bros. lot, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the place. Actress Lana Gautier brought much needed depth and drama to the role of Ellie, while Tim Walker was brilliant playing the tension-filled part of her perhaps-not-so-significant other, Frank. Deborah Sheridan nailed the role of Ellie’s sarcastic but caring mother.

“I cried, but it was a good cry,” Gautier said immediately after the screening. “Working with this talented cast and crew was one of the most amazing experiences of my career, and seeing the finished product made that even more special.”

“I was casting so long for this movie,” Director Anvar Madraimov proudly stated as he addressed a crowd following the premiere. “I had great actors and I really appreciate their hard work. I have a message to tell… and eventually the good moment that I watched the movie and I was happy that there is a part that tells my story.”

The film also stars Tyler Mazzei and Miles Sedlin as Ellie’s precocious young sons Tommy and Mickey.
